TBA’s Integrated Teen Programs
Temple Beth Abraham’s integrated teen programs are built on the principle that every event and activity, whether in the classroom or not, should advance a certain set of common Jewish values. Each element of our teen program emphasizes some or all of these core values and complements and builds on other elements in a cohesive and cumulative way. All events and activities lead to our goal of nurturing Jewishly identified people of integrity.
The core values we emphasize include:
- Commitment to Tikkun Olam – social justice and social action
- Creation of Kehillah – a supportive, tolerant, and interdependent thinking community
- Individual responsibility and ethical decision-making
- Jewish knowledge and spirituality
- Leadership development and experience

Hebrew High School – Monday evening – Grades 8 -12
Our Hebrew High School is a place where teens unplug from their cell phones and Facebook profiles, and experience significant face to face interactions. It is a time where homework is temporarily set aside for meaningful conversations and the opportunity for self-discovery. Tenth graders participate in the Confirmation program with Rabbi Holtz and our teen education culminates with a meaningful graduation ceremony at the end of twelfth grade.
Our Youth Groups
Temple Beth Abraham’s youth groups events provide an enjoyable, enriching and safe environment for all participants. They include a wide variety of social and adventure-oriented activities with a Jewish infusion. Our intention is to allow young people to socialize, take responsibility for themselves and each other, and have new experiences within a Jewish peer community that emphasizes social action and ethical decision-making. Our senior youth group – ZEETY, is affiliated with NFTY-NAR of the Union of Reform Judaism.
