Butterfly Project for Yom HaShoah

April 28, 2019 @ 9:45 am

The Butterfly Project, funded by a grant from Temple Beth Abraham’s (TBA’s) Harriet Verter Jewish Education Fund, is offered in conjunction with TBA’s Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), programming. The Butterfly Project, “Zikaron V’Tikvah” (Hebrew for Remembrance and Hope) is an artistic, educational project that memorializes the 1.5 million children who died in the Holocaust and honors the survivors. Information about the project may be found at www.thebutterflyprojectnow.org.

Temple Beth Abraham’s program consists of speaker Ted Schillinger, a documentarian, who will discuss his father’s experience as a survivor of the Holocaust. This will be immediately followed by painting butterflies, which will become part of a permanent “Butterfly Trail” in Westchester County.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. RSVP: (914) 631-1770 tikkunolam@tba-ny.org
