Forgiveness and Amends, A New Take on Teshuva and Personal Growth (on Zoom)

September 6, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Temple Beth Abraham’s Adult Ed. Committee presents: “Exploring a New Model of Teshuvah (Repentance) & Personal Growth” with Marcia Meislin on Zoom.As the High Holydays
approach, Jewish tradition
asks us to take a personal inventory
of our behaviors & atone for our sins.
We make resolutions to do better/be
better; but sometimes this process
awakens our inner critic telling us we are
not good enough; can never repair our relationships with ourselves or others.
In this discussion we will explore a new model for sustainable “at-one-ment.”
We will learn how to listen & with a more forgiving approach to ourselves, we will be able to look more kindly at the ÔimperfectÕ people around us.
Can you hear that shofar blowing?
ThereÕs a new teshuvah in town.
