What Our Learners Experience at TBA:
At Temple Beth Abraham, our Religious School is a joyful, meaningful, and age-appropriate journey through Jewish life, identity, and tradition. Through hands-on learning, music, stories, community building, and experiential activities, students from Pre-K through 12th grade explore what it means to live a vibrant Jewish life in today’s world.
Our Core Curriculum Focuses On:
- Hebrew & Prayer Fluency:
Students build confidence in decoding Hebrew, learning prayer vocabulary, and developing comfort with the melodies and customs of our TBA community. - Holidays & Jewish Time:
From Rosh Hashanah to Shavuot and everything in between, learners explore Jewish holidays through storytelling, music, art, food, and tradition—bringing each celebration to life. - Jewish Values & Middot (Character Traits):
We emphasize core Jewish values like kindness (chesed), respect (kavod), responsibility, and justice (tzedek), helping students connect these concepts to their daily lives. - Tanach (Bible) & Jewish History:
Students encounter classic Torah stories, the Prophets, and key figures from Jewish history—both ancient and modern—as they explore what it means to be part of the Jewish story. - Lifecycle & Rituals:
Through hands-on experiences and discussion, students learn about Jewish lifecycle events and the meaning behind ritual items found in the synagogue and home. - Israel & Global Jewish Peoplehood:
Our learners explore the land, people, and modern State of Israel, connecting with Israel’s history, culture, and significance in Jewish life. - Tzedek, Tikkun Olam & Jewish Role Models:
Across all grades, we spotlight Jewish changemakers—biblical, historical, and contemporary—who model leadership, resilience, and the pursuit of justice.
