The Adult Education Committee presents: Light Up Your Life: The Significance of Light in Judaism with Rabbi Marge Wise. Rabbi Marge Wise will enlighten us about the symbolism & significance of light in Jewish tradition, as reflected both in Biblical & contemporary sources.
She will trace how those sources have informed our customs & the way we observe these traditions as a people – both publicly & privately.
Rabbi Marge Wise was ordained by the Academy for Jewish Religion. Before she began her rabbinic studies, she worked extensively in the Jewish community, most recently as a synagogue executive director & before that as a teacher & the owner of a Judaica Store. Rabbi Wise has always sought to shed light on Jewish traditions with love & deep affection for our customs & rituals.
